Mogán, My Mom & the life between

A small day trip that healed more than a thousand conversations.

Yesterday, I went to Mogán
with my mama – a little town on the southern coast of Gran Canaria 🏝️
where the mountains flow into the sea ⛰️🌊
and the harbor lies quietly,as if it’s collecting old stories 📜💭
A place that feels made for new beginnings…or gentle reconnections. ⛵️🌿

We went out for fish – 🐟🍽️
not just anywhere, but to a place where the locals go.
No fancy menus – just grilled fish, fresh, fragrant, kissed by the sun and the salt of the sea ☀️🧂
And while we sat there, side by side – no longer against each other – I realized:
✨ Healing can taste this simple. Crispy. Warm. REAL.

Because between us lies a deeply moving lifefull of pain and sadness 🌀
My mother… was silent where I would have screamed 🤐🗣️
endured where I would have walked away 🧱🚪
She didn’t protect me – but we survived.
And at some point, I couldn’t forgive her silence and the way she looked away. 💔
But today… I understand: She wasn’t weak –she wasn’t free. 🕊️🔒
And back then, leaving wasn’t really an option…

Through my work with AI 🤖💡
my travels 🌍✈️ my reconnection with myself 🧘♀️💫 I was finally able to see:
She couldn’t act differently. But I can. And because I can – I can also forgive. 💖🕯️
And I’m genuinely happy for her – That now, at 76 years old, with a smile 😃
on her face, she can say she’s never felt better than she does today.

So we sat there. In the shadow of a fishing boat 🛶
with grilled fish on the plate 🐠🍋
and a piece of past-healing in the heart 🫀
Not dramatic. But quietly powerful. 🌙🌾
I’m gratefulthat I can walk with my mama today 👩👧✨
not as a child who complains 👧
but as a woman who can give back – without losing herself. 👩🦰🌹

That was Mogán.
And a small piece of wonder. 🐟☀️🌊
